Meet Ed Royce
U.S. Representative Ed Royce serves California’s 39th Congressional District, which encompasses parts of Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties. He is Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee and a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee.
A California native, Representative Royce is a graduate of the California State University, Fullerton School of Business Administration. Prior to entering public service, his professional background included experience as a small business owner, a controller, a capital projects manager, and a corporate tax manager for a Southern California company. He and his wife Marie live in Fullerton.
Representative Royce’s priorities in Congress are: addressing our national debt, protecting our homeland, eliminating pork-barrel spending, improving educational opportunities for all students, spurring job creation and strengthening Social Security and Medicare.
For the 114th Congress, Representative Royce was selected to serve as Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, where he leads Congressional oversight of the Administration’s foreign policy and works on issues such as: sanctions on state sponsors of terror, fighting the poaching of endangered species, and advocating for the victims of human trafficking.
Representative Royce has consistently earned honors and awards from the National Taxpayers Union, Citizens Against Government Waste, National Federation of Independent Businesses, Watchdogs of the Treasury, Americans for Tax Reform, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Bar Association, United Seniors Association, American Share Holders Association, Citizens for a Sound Economy, and the Small Business Survival Committee.
